The Victoria Falls
A Bit Of History...
Also called Mosi-oa Tunya-"The Smoke That Thunders"-The Victoria Falls is located on the Zambezi River in southern Africa, on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. It is one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World and also one of the largest waterfalls, with a width of 1,708m and a height of 108m at its centre.
David Livingstone, a Scottish missionary and explorer, was said to be one of the first Europeans to view the Victoria Falls in 1855. The Victoria Falls has a few names, one of which was Seongo or Chongwe, which means "The Place of Rainbows" due to the constant spray from the falls.
